Why we don’t do certified Organic and why true sustainability is harder than buying a stamp

Why We Don't Do "Certified Organic" (And Why True Sustainability Is Harder Than Buying a Stamp)

If you spend five minutes looking at modern skincare marketing, you will notice a familiar badge on almost every bottle: Certified Organic.

It looks great on a label and gives shoppers a warm, fuzzy feeling. But here at dromeDairy, we do not have a certified organic stamp. And honestly? We never will.

That isn't because our products aren't clean it is because we believe that true sustainability is about how you actually treat the land and the animals, not about paying a corporate auditor thousands of dollars for a piece of paper.

The Real Journey: From the Bush to Our Farm

Our camels originate from the wild, pristine expanse of the Australian bush. Because of this natural beginning, they are as inherently organic as nature intended. But we aren't running around the outback trying to milk them in the wild.

Instead, we bring them into our own managed, sustainable farming system. We developed a custom mobile milking system right on our farm, ensuring the entire process is ethical, low-stress for the animals, and exceptionally efficient. Nature does the heavy lifting in the beginning, and our hands-on, sustainable farming methods carry it through to the final harvest.

Real Animal Care Beats a Bureaucratic Stamp

In the modern agricultural world, "organic" certifications have largely become an expensive bureaucratic game. More importantly, true ethical farming means putting animal welfare above a marketing badge.

If one of our animals gets sick, we treat it. Full stop. Some strict organic certification bodies make it punishingly difficult or bureaucratic to properly medicate an animal when it’s genuinely hurting. We refuse to let an animal suffer just to keep some corporate compliance checklist happy. For us, real, practical care always comes first.
